Why does my Windows system update automatically again when I turn on my computer? If you want to shut down or restart your computer, you have no choice but to wait until the system update is complete, which is very troublesome. However, it is up to you to turn off the automatic update of your Windows system.
Try turning off automatic updates on your Windows system.
Method 1:
The system will tell you that this is the most recent update time, so use the keyboard shortcut Win+R and type Services.msc. Click OK and find Windows Update among these items. Double-click it to open it and in the General tab, change the startup type to Disabled and click Apply. The service status will also change to Stopped.
Enter the Recovery tab again and change the First Failure, Second Failure and Subsequent Failures to No Action, then click OK. The above operations will turn off automatic updates for your Windows system.
Method 2:
Keyboard shortcut Win+R, type regedit, Enter, find the following path HKEY_LOCAL MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\UX\Settings, create a new DWORD (32-bit) value and rename it to "Flight Settings Max Pause Days". Note: There is no need to put spaces between the words. Double-click to open it, change the base to Decimal, and enter an integer value, for example 10,000. This means that your Windows system will automatically update again after 10,000 days.
If you now open the Windows Update interface, you will see that you can choose whether to update automatically again after 1423 weeks. The time here will update again. Another easy way is to search for Windows PowerShell in the system search box, type reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\UX\Settings" /v FlightSettingsMaxPauseDays /t reg_dword /d 11000 /f, and then close the pop-up window.
Take another look at the Windows Update interface and notice that you can choose to update automatically again after 143 weeks.
