LS14500 primary lithium batteries are based on lithium thionyl chloride (Li-SOCl2) chemistry. A key feature of the LS14500 is its concentric electrode (bobbin) construction, which allows for maximum active material loading and therefore energy delivery. LS14500 cells are specifically designed for long-term use (3-15 years) and feature currents based on a few μA with periodic pulses typically ranging from 5-150 mA.
